14-Day Euro(Road) Trip: The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden

Day 1: Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Day 2: Amsterdam

Days 3: Lisse and Amsterdam

Day 4: Amsterdam to Antwerp, Belgium

  • Go to Blin Queen for breakfast before heading over to Antwerp for a day trip
  • When you arrive in Antwerp, take in the beauty of the Antwerp train station, also known as the “Railway Cathedral”
  • Immediately outside of the train station, walk to the right and straight into the Zoo Antwerpen
  • Walk over to the Het Steen fortress
  • Head over to the House of Waffles for lunch. You have got to get a Belgian waffle and a Stella Artois!
  • Wrap up the day at Chocolate Nation, the chocolate museum
  • Take the train back to your hotel in Amsterdam

*If the carnival is in town like it was for us, you have to check it out right outside of the train station. The girls had a blast and it was a great place to wrap up our time in Belgium.

Days 5-6: Amsterdam to Hamburg, Germany

*Note we were in Hamburg visiting friends so the majority of the time was spent spending time with them. Aside from the wildpark, we cannot provide any other specific recommendations as visitors from outside of this city but hope to in the future!

Day 7: Hamburg to Billund, Denmark

Day 8: Legoland in Billund

  • Visit Legoland
  • Eat dinner at the castle restaurant which is all you can eat and drink

Day 9: Lalandia in Billund

  • Walk to Lalandia, Scandanavia’s largest water park

Day 10: Billund to Copenhagen, Denmark

Day 11: Copenhagen

  • Explore the city before heading over to Rosenborg Castle
  • Spend the rest of the afternoon at Tivoli Gardens, particularly on Rutschebanen which is the oldest roller coaster in Europe, and the third oldest roller coaster in the world

Day 12: Copenhagen to Malmö, Sweden

Day 13: Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen

  • Spend the entire day at Tivoli Gardens

Day 14: Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen

  • Enjoy your last day in Copenhagen by relaxing at the hotel’s pool
  • Eat at The Romper for dinner
